P.S. I originally bought these for fronts for my TV setup, but they definitely shine brightest as nearfield only.
They sound even better if you remove the grill and install the bottom piece of the wave guide.
Now all I need is a sale on 590s/Infinity RC263 to upgrade my HT setup.
What did you use as the amp?
Disregard. Saw the next post
There are a ton of similar amps like it
It is a massive horn and it is glorious. I have 3 590s for my LCR and they sound amazing.
Not worth it IMO. I tried both and they're very similar. 530s had a bit more bass so I kept it since I only have a 2.0 music setup. Plus it's better match your center channel with your L and R mains

Thank you.
If you want better sound quality, you could go with Jamo floor standers for more bass(https://www.adorama.com/ja1064578.html) or Elac Bookshelf speakers for better quality (https://www.adorama.com/elcdb62bk.html) and drive them with your old receiver.

The lower wave guide attached to the grill doesn't work as good as the smooth plastic piece they give you. The fabric absorbs and/or interferes with the tweeter's sound wave frequencies from blending with the midrange driver. There is also alot of plastic reinforcement behind the cloth that blocks the mid driver. They sound a little more open and natural without the grill.
