I think people were hoping M1 would turn iPad into laptop replacement but it seems Apple will continue to intentionally limit the capabilities of their tablets as to not cannibalize their laptop sales.

That's great! But for most of the professionals that need the power and more specifically the applications, there's still no solution from Apple. They intentionally are holding back the capabilities of the iPad for revenue's sake and not for the betterment of the products or the users.

Yup, if the ipad pro could replace a macbook, I'd have no computers left. They would be tablets. Macbooks can run ios apps, however ipads cannot run macos. (well you can remote desktop in to anything, Windows, Linux, MacOS, etc..) Apple admitted they will not be making a touch macos running on the ipad, which stinks for us consumers.

Guys wanna warn you, that in dark room and with some black image, u will se pretty huge blooming around white text or whatever, this is pretty bummer, for this price and none of those shitty youtubers didn't mentioned about this. (This is the way this screen is working)

Yes, but you might wanna get the keyboard for that as well. A macbook air would make more sense than this id say cos with the keyboard the price for this crosses over a grand.

I am one of those folks. I bought a m1 macbook pro 16gb edition in July. Bought a 12 inch m1 ipad pro this month. Both have their own use case in my life. But tats $3300 burn in the pocket which is gonna make me sit out of any upgrades for next 5 years. I had some gift cards that I had collected over the year and had been wanting to try out Macbook pro since few years. The ipad pro definitely does not feel like its worth $1500 for me. But, to be fair.. it is a better tablet than a lot other tablets ive tried before.

I've been eyeing the iPad pro for a while, I would use it to draw using the pencil. Does anyone have any experience with similar applications and would you have suggestions for software?

Thanks for bringing up the sale at Costco, just put in a price adjustment.

As for drawing apps, my daughter uses procreate and Adobe fresco.
