Got one for myself last month and it's been a pretty good unit. No complaints so far.
I put together a 3/8" barb to 3/4" FHT adapter, 3/8" inner diameter braided tubing (doesn't have to be braided) and a tube clamp so I wouldn't need to screw a 3/4" garden hose directly to the drain connector on the back of the dehumidifier. See attached pic.

I just don't see a point in using these in hot humid summer. Better off turning on the AC. The problem with this(someone please tell me I am doing it wrong) is that it blows hot air right back into the space. It reduces humidity but makes the space hot. There's no way to redirect the hot air outside...
I have had this Insignia model for 2 years, no problems so far. I agree with you, it does blow hot air (after 2/3 hours of having the compressor running constantly). However, it reduces humidity much more effectively than the AC. In my basement is takes less than 1 hour to reduce it by 30%.
Is it ok that makes sump working all the time? And is sump make noise?
It depends. If your sump pump already works all the time, better pump to a sink drain or outside. If sump pump only works sometimes, it's probably fine to drain there. It shouldn't add that much water to make it pump all the time. My sump isn't too noisy at all.

I always purchase dehumidifiers from costco. When they break in 2 years, I take them back. Get me a quality product and I wouldnt have to do crap like that.

Had mine for about 6 months and it's still working fine (fingers crossed). I have it connected to 120V via smartplug and for those wondering, it does revert to the last setting when the smartplug turns it on.
3rd season on this one for me. Fingers crossed. Works like it should. Not like the Frigidaire that crapped out in the 2nd year.(They were so bad they were recalled.)
I have a Frigidaire with a date code of 04/15 and it's getting the F0 error. Unfortunately I'm out of the (5) year warranty window and I don't have a receipt anyway. It's as though the issue is getting worse as I've had to unplug it and reset it at least (6) times so far today. Anyone else have this issue before?

I have a Frigidaire and it's working fine for 7 years now (date code 07/14). Though it may be obvious, I know that not cleaning the filter regularly can cause these to eventually malfunction, But I've read that units that get that code are irrepairable.

Question, if this doesn't have a container to catch water, why does it say 50 pt? Does it shut down after doing 50 pt?
