Excellent deal for an excellent light. Last time it hit this price was June 19, 2020. I believe Dewalt actually increased the brightness since I bought mine last year. Runs for hours on a 1.3ah battery.
My only gripe about it? Two brightness settings: "melt your retinas" bright, and dim, nearly useless red. I can't imagine why they didn't design this with 2 or 3 white light modes.
EDIT: I've dropped this light many times. From as high as 20 feet. Other than a couple scuffs on the case, it's good as new. Still working great.
A couple of reviews on Amazon indicate that they received the new version, which has no red led but 4 white LEDs with 1500/500 lumens brightness settings.

Most DeWalt flashlights I've seen on sale top out under 500 lumen which would only be good as a spotlight. They tend to be too bulky to want them close to your work though. This one goes to 1500 which would make it good for a larger area, further set back.

I've used this as a sort of headlight for my 50HP tractor. I set it in a cup holder which is above the hood. ez-pz
Previous low price I've seen was $54 from a farm store.
Also works well with the Flexvolt batteries, just lasts a lot longer.
Yayyy!!! Been wanting a bunch more of these. Got several of the awesome work lights last month, and those are great area lights, while this is an AMAZING spotlight for what it is!!!

Lmao!!! Yeah, the "melt your retinas bright" sucks when you're in a hot, confined location. But it's great when you want to sear a steak, of kill vampires!!!

The DCL040 "flashlight" (the one bulb one that currently costs $59 at Amazon on the same seller page) from Dewalt does indeed suck.
But this one from OP, the DCL043 , and the DCL050 worklight are amazing!! Being in a hurricane area, these are great. They allow my generator more power to keep my beer cold! Lol.
