Power delivery, I don't see a max wattage
Gig Ethernet.
Decent device, ok price.

Most of the bad reviews are for a USB 2.0 hub and not this hub.

For that reason, I'm passing on this.

Thanks in advance!
I'm assuming it's a no go with the Switch?
Good luck!

How hot should these get? It's pretty warm powering a Surface with HDMI and ethernet only connected. It's a plastic shell so the cooling probably isn't ideal. So far, I don't see screen disconnects which I had with another adapter. I didn't yet test if the USB C connection works in both orientations. It doesn't on some hubs.

If USB-C doesn't work in both orientations that would probably be a big indicator to me of some cost-cutting I'd want to avoid. I think you're in the right application with a Surface (something that doesn't also demand a lot of power itself). I can't decide if this would a great option for supporting a portable workstation setup (so part of a kit with a mouse & keyboard as well as a portable power brick) or something I'd leave plugged in all the time (about the only comparable device I trust that much is a one of those big brick Dell USB-C hubs).
Good luck!
