If you're dead set on a laptop, this appears to be a decent deal. Price wise $999 is very low for a gaming laptop. Goes a lot further than $999 did a year ago in the laptop space.

Like most $999 laptops this one only has 8 gb of RAM which 16 is what you should aim for.

The screen is awful and has >30ms response time where others are ~8ms. And as mentioned above, 75w 3060 vs normal 130w laptop card.

I really wish that these manufacturers would reevaluate their aesthetics though. Feels like not much has changed since 2014 in terms of design. At least Lenovo and ASUS are stepping up.

With these low end specs outside of the 3060 this should be around $500. That 3060 is not worth another $450.

Lenovo's Legion gaming laptops don't really look "gamery", is what I think he was getting at. A lot of these gaming laptops still have that gaudy gamer aesthetic from 10 years ago. At least the Legions look classy.
