This is 10th gen i5, not 11th as posted. 80W 3060. There is an advanced bios where you can undervolt, overclock cpu and ram. Lower end build but only 4lbs. CPU can run hot but undervolting and configuring the fan speed helps. Purchased this last time it was on sale and impressed my it.

Thanks so innately they are the same chipsets? Like nVidia is purposely making diff chips with same designation? I thought the shortage is in the chips themselves no matter mobile or desktop GPUs. I haven't really been following, like beginning of pandemic was starting to be a bit pricey then a year later it got worse.

So is a mobile 3070 equivalent to a desktop 3060? I've been tempted to buy a laptop as desktop replacement but I know there must be something missing. Hoping for a BF deal on 11th gen i7 or Ryzen 7 similar, 16gb ram, m2 SSD, rtx 3060 desktop for under $1k and hopefully with decent cashbacks to make it all under $1k w/ tax.

There's a lot more to it that I don't understand, but you compared the wrong cards. A 3070 laptop is significantly better than a 3060 desktop according to the site.

Just be warned I bought this, it is very cheap plastic and the trackpad is very bad and has a double click which is annoying every time you press it
