Personally, I go on store for things I really really want. Other things I just kinda want I use online pickup.
Another trick with Walgreens is to test the Walgreens cash back online by adding the items then clicking on cart. at the bottom it'll give you the estimated cash back. it has been 100% accurate for me. then go in store and buy exact same items.
Another trick, don't use Walgreens cash on deals that requires you to spend $20 to earn x cash back.
another trick, all deals that are purchase x amount and get x Walgreens Cash are unlimited use.
another tip, Walgreens cash and register rewards aren't the same thing. Register rewards can only be achieved in store and typically only 1 register reward per transaction. Best way is to split up combo of items that earn the register reward in separate transactions. don't need to do this for Walgreens cash rewards.

I've had them cancel my order I assumed because the item was out of stock? I had to go in anyways for some other stuff and found the item I was trying to do a pick up for and just bought it while I was there. Lol I wish they would tell you why they cancel.

My store cancelled my order for this. First time. The store manager told me they haven't carried RIMMEL in months! He was unhappy it even let me order the product, because he know it would be frustrating for me.
I called and they added the $3 in coupons (note I used a $2 off one and a $1 off one manufacturer's coupon in addition to the $2 off per item my Walgreens coupon, which they don't credit you because you can still reuse it by scanning the monthly coupon book).
Also, manufacturer's coupons count towards eligible spend. I had a receipt where I spent $2 but paid $18 in manufacturer's coupons and still earned $5 on $20 purchase (you can see that the coupons at the register show as a form of payment which is why they count towards eligible spend - because Walgreens is being reimbursed for those)
Sweet deal because even if they cancel you get free Walgreens rewards $$ to spend on anything else
