What I did is got the tracfone phone+1 yr plan from hsn.com with new user coupon of 20$, got moto 32gb phone for 32$ including tax + 5% cashback for discover+paypal.
yes and what I am saying is this sim cannot be used to extend a phone with plan like that

the guides around here to do that will not work on a preloaded tracfone

I currently have Tracfone service on the AT&T network with a service end date of 12/15/2024. When the sale of Tracfone to Verizon is finalized will Tracfone (under the new Verizon ownership) still offer service on the ATT network? I don't want to buy more Tracfone minutes and data and in a few years have them tell me I have to switch my service over to Verizon and get a new phone that runs on the Verizon network.
Tracfone is the provider for all kinds of government assisted phone programs (including "Obama phone"). People in Congress are all over Verzion and stressing them away from any idea that they can play around too much with TracFone

Can we use this on totalwireless locked iPhone XR that's available for 210 $, currently my iPhone XR is on Totalwireless and is locked.
I am currently using one of these annual SIMs, running on AT&T on a totalwireless iphone SE, but then again I never activated the SIM that came with the iphone, I put the TF SIM as soon as I received the phone and it just worked. But I think it should work.

Any way to get points by adding this to an existing account using this same deal from last December? I just want to add the year of service plus minutes text and data to an existing line.
Done this before, just select öption to keep the same number and all balances should combine to this new SIM.

If you already have an AT&T 1 year plan, can you buy a Verizon 1 year plan, and then add the Verizon 1 year plan's balance to the old AT&T balance, and just convert that sum to the new Verizon plan?

Anyone try to extend an existing Tracfone service on the Verizon Carrier by a year? I tried one back in April using some previous deal instructions and my account didn't seem to add an extra year (or increase the voice / text / data); I may have goofed up the process. I see the Q&A section in the front mentioning it should work fine with a tracfone account using AT&T or T-Mobile but maybe not Verizon.

Great price but I cannot get these same kinds of sim cards to extend my tracfone itself that came with a plan.

You need an unlocked phone.
Ok I think that was my mistake. I tried to extend my existing Tracfone Verizon service by activating the new sim, using existing number but used a spare Tracfone Samsung IMEI instead of an unlocked phone IMEI. It went through but my end date never got extended by a year. Crap I probably wasted 2 of these sims on 2 accounts, doh! Expensive lesson learned. Guess I have to buy a couple of these to make up for my bone head mistake

yes got 3 last time, everything added onto original plan, plus 3 addl yrs
So if you have an existing tracfone plan and you're 6 months into it, you can add this to that existing plan, right now (instead of waiting for the existing plan to expire), keep the same number and when you add this your existing plan ends up extended to 1.5 years?

How to Stack TF's Verizon SIM
- Adding the additional data (3GB), minutes (1,200), and text (1,200) on the new TF Verizon SIM to an existing TF Verizon account (number).
- First, you would need the IMEI of an unlocked Verizon-compatible phone (You do not necessarily need the physical phone).

Turn off your current phone and replace the old SIM card with the new TF Verizon SIM card.

Go to TF's website (https://www.tracfone.com/), sign on to your account, and click on the [ACTIVATE] button.

Choose [I'M BRINGING MY OWN SMARTPHONE]. Accept [ACCEPT TERMS AND CONDITIONS] => [YES].

Do you have a Tracfone SIM card? Under [YES, I ALREADY HAVE ONE], enter the ICCID of the new TF Verizon SIM card, and click [CONTINUE].

Please enter phone's IMEI or MEID => enter the IMEI of an unlocked Verizon-compatible phone, and click [CONTINUE].

Is your device currently active with another carrier? Click [NO].

Do you want to keep your current phone number? Click [YES], and select the number you want to keep from the dropdown box, and click [CONTINUE].

If everything goes through properly, you should see the message: "Your request has been submitted. Your phone number transfer may take from a few hours to up to two business days to complete." Click [CONTINUE]

Again, if everything went through properly, you should see the message: "SUCCESS! Thank you for your business!" The service end date would show additional year added.

You can now turn on your phone.

Wait for a couple of hours or overnight, and check your account. The additional data (3GB), minutes (1,200), and text (1,200) should already have been added to your account.

Now you can put your old SIM card back into the phone, and put away the new SIM card.

What I got from reading the other post from a previous thread deal.. Hope that helps..

Thanks I did use these instructions back in April but I used a spare Tracfone Moto E5 I had laying around instead of

"- First, you would need the IMEI of an unlocked Verizon-compatible phone"

So maybe that's the reason my end service date didn't get extended by a year. Idk

I am confused. So after activating the "new" SIM card, you still use the "old" SIM card but the "new" one is useless?

note this does not work with preloaded tracfones

if you have an existing tracfone that came with a year of servcie and you are planning on adding a year, the instructions you posted are useless because their system will not accept the imei

What about tracfones that are over a year old and not in use. Are you talking about new unused tracfones with preloaded minutes?

I agree that you may have made a mistake. I have done this 10+ times on all 3 networks used by TF. But I always activate/transfer via chat and confirm my new balance, new expiration date.

Yes. But you need to follow the proper protocol. If you don't you may lose balance/expiration date.

I'm not sure about this. I believe you need to use the newly activated SIM.
