On sale for $169, originally $219. Recommend using with flex volt batteries as regular 20v batteries overheated after long use in some reviews.

If it's overheating your regular 20v batteries, then it's being used improperly, or there is an internal tool issue.

The "cooling aspect" of a Flexvolt is no different from an XR battery, from what I've seen. Also, these are already top heavy with a battery... adding a 6ah flexvolt would make it worse.

Basically, these are designed as trim routers... they're not designed for long periods of use, or heavy bits.

So saying a flexvolt will prevent a 20v tool from heating up the battery is a funny little wives tale... and also a bit dangerous as the added weight can create a bad scenario if the bit kicks on ya and launches the router.
