I was just thinking how all these people taking advantage of "the hack!" are gonna ruin it for someone that legitimately needs to return part of their order.
HD makes big money from this "hack." If HD had an issue, they would have killed it a long time ago.
As far as in-store, I have no issue and do it all of the time.

Yeah I dunno. I ordered a tool combo and the tool arrived with shipping damage. They wouldn't just let me grab another one off the shelf because they weren't willing to split the deal package... So I had to wait another 2 weeks for it to be reordered. I wonder if the "battery hack" crowd had anything to do with their decision to make me wait so long for my replacement tool order...?
