I had this exact scale. It was a bit small for size 12 men's feet, but under size 11 should fit fine I believe. Furthermore, other than weight, all the body composition stats seemed to just scale to weight (and the age you input). It didn't seem to actually be doing any body composition measurements. This is contrary to the Withings scale I owned previously that when I was dehydrated, the body water measurement would reflect that fact. This is somewhat disappointing as some of the reviews said that the scale's body composition measurements are accurate. Weight did seem to be measured accurately. I returned the scale and purchased a cheaper one that would fit larger feet, but I will probably end up buying another Withings if there is another sale on them in the future.

At $17 I think this is a decent deal if you only need to track weight via bluetooth and you have small to medium-large sized feet. It does sync with HealthKit and I assume Google Fit as well though be careful as the app asks for permissions to retrieve unrelated health data as well.
Trust me, buddy, they already have what they need.
I have this scale, been using it regularly since 2018. It works great, and gives accurate results. The battery lasts a long time, I think I've only changed it once.

my shill meter is moving a bit but it seems like most of these bluetooth scales renpho/wyze/eufy all have their drawbacks and accuracy concerns so for $18 i'm giving it a go. Mostly just interested in my weight fluctuations not all the other bells and whistles.

Right, because everything that's made in China HAS to be spying on our data. It's not possible that some company just wants to make a profit selling inexpensive products to the American marketplace without an added motive. They're definitely interested in beeming your BMI across the inter webs to China mainland just to be able to say "yeah those Americans are big!"… come on man.

I have had this for 4 years now. Great for weight tracking and syncing to your phone. As someone mentioned the other measurements scale according to your earlier inputs and weight.

App isnt bad either. It doesnt run in the background, you have to open the app for it to sync but the weight scale remembers last 10 weight data so you dont have to sync everytime.

One concern I have is sometimes when you step on multiple times, it will keep showing you different numbers. The max variance I've seen is 1.2lb.

This scale is a POS. Weight is all over the place. Changes measurements by the minute and the stats seem to be static based on weight as mentioned before. I am in a weight loss profane was told to avoid this specific scale because it is unreliable.

It's really hard to know how reliable products like this are on Amazon, when there are dozens (hundreds?) of different no-name companies producing/selling them on Amazon, and flooding the reviews with who knows how many fake reviews (which Amazon is becoming notoriously bad about over the past several years).

Does anyone know of a reliable brand/company producing reliable smart scales? I saw Withings mentioned earlier, maybe that's one?

This is one of many products that is really bad about this. Similar to headphones, webcams, cables… just about everything on Amazon.

Also check out FakeSpot extension. With that said, yeah Amazon is riddled with fake/manipulated reviews for the landfill fodder from China.

Tell me more about how the Chinese knowing your body weight is part of a conspiracy to… know people's weight? I missed part of your statement because I was putting on my tinfoil hat.
I assume step 3 is Profit.

Unfortunately, these sites that offer "reviews" of products with affiliate links to Amazon are just about as hard to trust.

I've searched in the past for reviews on products, only to find dozens of different sites ranking the same products, all with affiliate links to Amazon, and it seems like none of them agree with which is the best (since they probably didn't even do much research, and are only in it for the affiliate money). Some of them even have a completely different list of products (for the same thing).

For example, a quick Google of "best smart scales" turned up this list towards the top, with a mostly different set of products vs. the Wirecutter article:

Have this exact scale for like 2 years. I like how easily it uploads to the app. I don't know about the accuracy of the other measurements, but I'm really only concerned with tracking weight over time and this is perfect. Make sure it's calibrating on a level surface and you'll be fine.

Honestly I've bought a couple things from Renpho, like a massage gun and a calf massager and they've all worked as expected. They have coupons a lot so their products can get very cheap and the quality is decent. I mean it's a mass manufactured product from Shenzhen, but there seems to be at least a minimum of quality control with this specific brand in my opinion.

To be the devils advocate, I think before the NYT bought them out, I think they funded themselves with affiliate links which is kind of fair.

But yeah I agree it's dicey. Short of consumer reports and who even knows with them anymore.

What makes this better than Wyze's option?
