I filed a police report in the town of the Target and had an officer investigate. I contacted the AG and the AG forwarded information to Target.

In the end, my bank returned the money. I bought with a debit red card. Target didn't dispute.

Target was the only place that I had my Apple gift card # stolen. Bought the gift card and had it for a couple of days before inputting into my Apple account. Turns out it was already redeemed. Target wouldn't do anything, credit card company wouldn't do anything, and Apple just said tough luck, the account who used that gift card number spent it all, nothing to retrieve back. My warning to you all is to redeem that gift card as soon as you buy it!

No tax when purchasing a gift card, normal tax when making a purchase with a gift card.

Yes, I keep a balance at Apple, and my iCloud fee is deducted from the balance on my account.
