Twenty five year casino veteran here. If you're into card games, consider investing in some Kem cards. I have some decks that I bought over 20 years ago and they still rock. Copag are almost as good for half the price, but when something that can last decades, spend the extra.

These are not anywhere close to Bicycle. If you've ever bought a cheap souvenir deck of cards somewhere or handled one of those glossy color business cards, that should give you an idea of what these feel like. The edges aren't very smooth, they have a smooth cheap surface finish, and when you slide the cards across each other (shuffling, dealing, fanning) they kind of stick and move inconsistently.

I've never bothered using them long enough to see how they hold up, but I imagine they would be pretty unforgiving and you'll see damage along edges and corners pretty quickly.

Basic bicycle rider backs are quality enough that they are recommended even for cardistry and slight of hand. And in my experience, even old beat up bicycles feel better in the hand then these mavericks.

If you want something cheaper than bicycle, Aviator is a decent pick. Smooth surface finish, so not the same as bicycles, but smooth, consistent, maybe not as durable.

Perfect timing. Just bought a poker set. While the chips are nice the single deck is a POS.

Are these as good a Bicycles? Some on Amazon are saying that some Mavericks made in China are of lesser quality than others.

For $1.40 it's worth a shot. Hoping these are decent enough. Don't really play cards that often but except for Bicycle, most other playing cards usually suck

These are trash. Get a dozen bicycle decks from Costco. Change out new decks often. Old decks are gross.

Mavericks won't be a big upgrade to the cheap decks included in game sets. Buy a 2 or 4 pack of regular bicycle rider backs, you won't regret it. Walmart has some cool exclusive black ones if I remember right.

Fair enough. I would still keep your eyes out for a sale on bicycle cards. The Kroger in my area seems to regularly have cards on sale and you can get the bicycle 2 packs cheap.

Regular price in Walmart shows 0.88cents and sale price is 0.69 cents don't know how $5.98 for two packs on this post came from. This deal is 38 cents cheaper on 2 decks over their regular price Smilie

Was just playing Poker Quest on Steam nonstop the last few days and I swear to god I think the world is a simulation since this popped up in my notifications and I don't even have an alert for it. How do they know...
