Be careful buying the Uber Eats cards. The one that says Uber but also says valid on Uber Eats does not give the discount. It must be the Uber Eats one. Spouse just called upset they didn't get the discount. Sad part was I had asked for the Door Dash ones - hadn't even wanted Uber Eats to begin with.

Be careful buying the Uber Eats cards. The one that says Uber but also says valid on Uber Eats does not give the discount. It must be the Uber Eats one. Spouse just called upset they didn't get the discount. Sad part was I had asked for the Door Dash ones - hadn't even wanted Uber Eats to begin with.

Probably not helpful for this particular group of gift cards and moreso for when they do lowes and stuff, but anybody looking to buy large amounts of gift cards from DG will find there's usually a limit of $500 for gift cards in a single transaction. Also after purchasing $500 in gift cards that store will lock you out from purchasing more for 24 hours. Fortunately in my area there's a DG about every 3-5 miles up the road, just go to the next one.

They're going overboard with this money laundering/anti-terrorism BS.
Besides the daily $500 gift card cap. $1,000 money orders now require a valid state issued ID ???
They will actually input your information in their system.

*What can I say....they thwarted my hopes of helping out my hommies with the Medellin Cartel, Al-Qaeda & ISIS

Don't know what's worse - that Red Lobster is considered "Back to School" dining or buying a Red Lobster card at Dollar General in the first place. Also, thought of folks here (hypothetically) scheming to spend more than $500 at Dollar General makes me chuckle.

I buy over $2k in gift cards pretty regularly when they go on sale at my local grocer. Usually Amazon, which I use to often buy groceries. What fools these grocery stores can be.

FYI

Last time I got a $500 gc. DG wanted cash or debit card no to credit card.

I don't have much use for any of those places but if someone uses Uber eats/door dash frequently I could see this being a no brainer.
