i tried mint - then cancelled after a week and went over to t-mobile. reasons were;

mint randomly assigned phone numbers based on whatever usa area code you choose.
you can't later change it off a list - they will only randomly generate yet another number.

mint charges extra for voice, sms and data roaming in canada, while t-mobile does not.

phones that mint claims to support, they are unable to push out data configurations for,
thus you will actually end up getting 2g-3g instead of 4gLTE speeds, because it will
default to some t-mobile basic roaming configuration. support is inept at fixing this,
and yes, the phones in question were completely unlocked - they worked with at&t.
these same phones are now on t-mobile enjoying 4gLTE because they pushed out
the proper data configurations to each phone.

You need to enter APN settings manually. Once you enter the correct APN settings and select it you will be getting all LTE, 5G -if your phone supports it. That is the case with most of the MVNOs.

we know - the APN from mint was then ignored
and data reverted to a t-mobile default APN.
trust me, we spent hours trying to get working.

the point is, mint's support is far more limited
or far less trained in what they are able to do.

Is there a time limit for activation?
This is debated on every thread, because this deal appears ever couple months. Anecdotally I bought two about six months ago, and both activated fine outside of the 45 day window. The Bestbuy page says nothing about 45 days on it, so I assume that means they don't scan the individual sim you purchased the same way Mint would if you bought if from them directly.

This is their regular price if you buy 12 months at a time. So, not sure why you'd want to do that.
The 10gb plan is $20 a month if you buy 12 months

If it doesn't activate you can always buy again at regular price and return the one that didn't work.

Can this sim card be used in a data-only device? Going to be on a roadtrip, it would be great if it could be used in laptop with WWAN and cellular iPad.

Effin' awesome!!! WOOOHOOO just in TIME!!! Current plan expires TODAY. I had already purchased a tello code from the stacksocial deal because thats all that I could find as far as a deal - time to return that since I haven't redeemed it.

Dammit, now I need to figure out how to use $30 in SS credits...

Umm no it isn't. This deal is for $10 a month where the normal price for the same plan on 12 months is $20 per month.

Anyone else notice the $1.50 E911 fee they added to the plan? That wasn't there last time as I recall.

This right here gets asked numerous times, every time a prepaid card deal goes up. "How long do I have to activate". Even so, the mods here at SD never bother to add that info anywhere on the thread. On any thread. The answer is usually 45 days, by the way...
