I saw BB with open-box excellent LG CX 77 for $2185, decided to go in to test my luck.
There was a fair condition (usually missing stand, power cable, or remote) for $1960 at a different store.
asked nicely to power on the TV. He was very kind, pulled it out of the box and plugged it in for me. It showed 0 hour used!!!!
I kindly asked the rep if he can check with the manager to see if he can lower the price.
The manager came out, he said, it's going to be hard b/c this is heavily discounted already. He then asked if I would buy the protection plan, I said "sure, if it's not too expensive". He then dropped the price by $185 to $2000, the protection plan for 2 years was $240 (extra $55 for 2 years of protection.
I went ahead and bought it. So I basically got a brand new LG OLED CX 77 for $2240 with 2 years protection or $2185 w/o Good luck hunting!!!
hours used check: Settings> Support> TV Information
other sizes are discounted too

I'm not saying I'm against the method, as it gets the price lower, just it isn't supposed to happen like that. In any case, the plan is returnable for 14/30 days at full price, pro-rated afterwards. Stores HATE just a service plan being returned
Also lurking around for a solid deal lolol

Good luck!
Nice catch. I got my OLED when they went open-box on all models last year (65" C9 for just over $1000) wasn't used at all.
This post likely signals that it's that time again for model-year sell-off time.. get tthem while they're hot
I am super picky about spending money on a new TV... My last expensive TV was a pioneer Kuro. (also grabbed from open box deal after pioneer stopped making TVs)
At first i was a bit disappointed that LG was using their own operating system, but it handles huge files over my network just fine, and pretty much everything i throw at it (I work with a lot of media and can stream 100GB H265 file with FLAC with zero issues ... the TV decodes FLAC just fine, even FLAC 5.1
I thought i'd need to upgrade my AV receiver when i bought it, but LG's OS is robust enough that ii was able to put that purchase off for another year or two.
I did buy a shield TV pro either way. It wasn't absolutely necessary, I just like the thing.
