With iPad there are always better deals away from apple.
I'm hoping to use mine on iphone 14 or whatever the next macbook is in November. Buying in Delaware with the GCs helps with taxes. I tend to get unlocked for travel reasons and apple is among the few that offers that for new devices.
Also the tech leaks seem to indicate a move away from miniLEDs for iPads to OLED. It is why I am clinging to my 10.5 inch iPad Pro from years ago. The backlit glow on letterboxed content always gets me and miniLED has not fully addressed that. They do hold up well: iPads. My 2017 device is going strong. No issues save a reduced battery life.
I am always surprised by how resilient a device it has been. It has not gotten slower and pretty much dealt with anything I've asked of it. Scanned docs, makeshift speakers for music etc.
My macbook from 2014 has issues rn and I am mainly operating on my ipad pro till the new M1x macbooks are out later this year.
