If I'm not mistaken, it dropped to 40-50 just before the pandemic, but then the price skyrocketed as everyone wanted to be outdoorsy. I saw them going for 2-300 on CL last summer.

Any user comments on this tandem kayak?

I don't expect too much on this as read quite lot of complaints about holes/punctures and patching.
As long as it can last 4-5 rides (mostly calm water) per year for 2-3 years, I'm sold.

Thanks.

I have the Intex K2 Challenger, the green model and have absolutely loved them. I have used them maybe 5 times a year during the summer. love the flexibility to deflate, transport and store at home easily. I bought it at around $50 maybe 2 years prior to covid. This price is a great price considering these have been normally $300 plus sinc covid.

I bought two of these when they were 60ish. I haven't had any problems with leaks. I picked up the Ryobi high volume inflator on SD recently and it inflates the kayak in like 2 minutes. It is awesome. I tossed the manual inflator. . I also put the Ryobi in a dry bag with us just in case.

My only beef is that the inflatable seats don't give a lot of back support for larger size people as expected. I end up semi reclined in the back seat but I'm still able to paddle fine.

This is NOT slick at all. Below $100 is slick for this. That being said, I love these things. Never had a hole or tear.

These cheapies are prone to leaks since made with low grade vinyl pvc. Tracking and glide is non existent, any wind will blow them around, seats are very uncomfortable. If you must go cheap, move up to their Expedition Pro for a much better paddling experience. Note that with all Intex kayaks, the floors are the weakest spot. Don't get in when in shallow water where your weight will push down the floor into any rocks, debris, etc where you run the risk of puncture. If this Expedition Pro model is more than you want to spend, the Challenger (greenie) is lower profile and a decent paddler. If you can spend a bit more, the Advanced Elements Island Voyage at $400. is a great budget kayak and very durable.

Owned a pair of the Intex single inflatable kayaks that lasted 4 good years with mediocre care. Highly recommend.
We bought one of the tandems last winter for $109 and took it out once this summer with our 1.5 y.o. onboard. Honestly, we were pretty squished. Wasn't very comfortable compared to the single. With the single at least you can move in whatever position suits your fancy but the tandem is very restrictive as you're sharing the very limited space with more than just yourself. I'm 170# and my s.o. is 110# so we're not even big people. This is an okay deal but they get much cheaper. I like inflatables because you can just throw them in the boot with no need to worry about something strapped on your roof and they take up less storage space.

Good boat, but slow .. very difficult to keep up with people on rigid kayaks..

Sags in center ...

But, for the price I got it ($80) totally worth it for the ease of use , transport and storage ...

PS: when I was buying 2-3 years back, I could not find 1 article where people complained of its quality or it drowning ....

It is a safe water kayak , not for rafting rapids OR unknown streams which may have rocky shallow bottom.

Paddels will wet you, if they had 1 extra extension in center they would have been perfect for me ...

For $130 not a great deal ... winter is coming prices should go down again ...

I paid $21.35 for this in January 2020. It is not worth $130.
