Arctic King is made by Midea (you likely have an appliance with refrigerant in it that is made by Midea)
I have one already and just purchased another. makes defrosting easy (yes its manual defrost - good for some, not as good for others)
Negative reviews are mainly damage in the shipping process. Its hot or miss. My first one, the box came beat up and it had one small dent where I wont ever see it, good enough for my basement. Keeps everything at - 5F to -10F, super consistent.
Uprights aren't for everyone, only you know what works better for you.

Normal freezers and refrigerators are usually in a house where the temperatures are fairly stable. Garages can get much hotter and colder. "Garage ready" freezers can operate from maybe 0–100 F.

I bought this at the $219 price point about 4 months ago. Worked great in my garage until about a week ago and died. Luckily I noticed and was able to move everything to my regular freezer, but it could have been a nightmare. Still under warranty, so trying currently to sort all that out.

These use as much energy as a chest freezer 2x the size. I know the vertical orientation is nice, but I'd rather have more space.
