Nice strips and app. The only negative is that the USB ports are not managed at all.
I've become super lazy and really enjoy all of the smart stuff. Barely flip a light switch anymore... I know that may be unpopular decision to some, but I enjoy it all. Everything smart is kept on a separate wifi in my house. (IT geek)

I got this with another sale like it pretty well. Hooked up my computer, monitors, etc. in my home office with this. The only thing I own by this company, but have not had any issues either. And it's neat seeing the power consumption of each plug. Integrates with smart home if you are into that. And you can set things up on a schedule which is pretty nice.

Wouldn't buy full price, but at this would if you are interested in the things above.

Does this support the ability to do a reset of a port? I'm asking so that I could click one button so it would turn off a port where my router would then die and I would obviously lose connectivity from remote but then come back on its own, basically a reset or reboot port?

thanks Op, been looking for one of these!

I don't at least see that as an option with the app. And not at home to test to see behavior otherwise I'd try!

I also considered buying this for that exact purpose and had the same question. I always assumed it wouldn't be an issue as I have several other Kasa devices (bulbs and outlets) and all of them have scheduling abilities. Therefore I imagine one can set a time to turn off in a couple of minutes and back to on a minute later... I would be great to have someone with this specific power strip to confirm it though...

In the end I decided not to go through with it for a completely different reason. I have my Kasa devices connected to Alexa (so I can turn them on and off using voice commands) and just do not want to risk anyone in the family voicing the wrong command or having alexa misunderstand it and turn off the router by mistake....

You can still control it via the app even without wifi you are within the range of the outlet. It will show 'local only' as the status

That would totally suck! Maybe rename device in Alexa app something totally unique to prevent false alarms. Something like "smart network" may work. Choose a unique name that doesn't share any words in other device names and you'll be fine. Multiple words in device name even better.

Is there a way,, i can see the chart of energy consumption ?
In Kasa switches i have, only can see current and total consumption , but no time based charts

No, you need WiFi. Local only is no internet access.

Better if you use this for at home care of loved ones. Say your goodbyes, then simply say, "Alexa, unplug grandpa".

And then you had to make it dark lol but yes, that would work as well. And if I understand correctly, with this device you could have both Grandma and Grandpa plugged in on the same power strip and only shut them down one at a time.
