Initial impression -- for an i3 CPU, it's pretty decent! 4 Core / 8 thread. 3.7Ghz Turbo.
The SSD is an NVMe Samsung according to device manager.
The WIFI card is an Intel AX201 Wifi6 adapter.
The screen is fine. I've seen worse and I've seen better, but for a $450 laptop, it's a decent screen. Colors and brightness are acceptable.
The keyboard is confirmed NOT backlit. As a matter of fact, the picture on Staples.com of this unit shows the F4 key with a symbol on it of a lit keycap. The actual laptop has the F4 key blank. So there must be a model with a backlit KB, but this one is not it.
If you have questions, let me know. I've got a spare 8GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM I want to stick it in so I'll be opening it up.
edit: I forgot, it comes with McAfee, Wild Tangent Games and Express VPN bloatware. Easily uninstalled. Other than that, pretty lean.
edit 2: Here are pics of the inside. 2.5" SATA missing cable, etc.

17.3" diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), IPS, anti-glare, 250 nits, 45% NTSC

Sorry I don't have an exact part number to match it to since I don't even know what model this laptop is! Does it have a model name or just the model number?
edit: buzzy on post 38 was nice enough to post the service manual which lists part numbers but (of course) there is no part listed for the SATA cable...
for dj'n on serato?

If your system does not meet their requirements, I understood it to say that you can still do a CLEAN install from scratch, but upgrades were only for compatible systems.
This is what it states as a requirement.
TPM Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0
This means Intel Gen 8 or newer. In other words most made in the last three years.
So the vast majority of Desktops and Laptops made prior to 2018 will not run Windows 11 no matter how you load it fresh or upgrade.
To be more clear I just recently bought a HP ryzen 3 to replace my I5 gen 7 Dell 7040 because it will not run Windows 11. Checked the Dell site and it will not upgrade to Windows 11.
Frustrating that they would do that but it is all about making computers more controllable. More what they call trusted.
There has been a lot of pressure to not only upgrade new Desktops and Laptops but no indication at all they will not stop them from upgrading.
Price back at $599
Perhaps it is somewhat YMMV. I doubt that because it is shipped and available for pickup.

Just as I said above. You can clean install if you don't meet requirements. If you do meet requirements, you will be offered an update to Window 11 through Windows Update.
I stand by what I said:

"The current Insider Preview versions of the Windows 11 ISOs will halt if your system is missing either Secure Boot or a TPM (though it's fine with a TPM 1.2 module, despite the operating system's official TPM 2.0 requirement). You can get around this limitation with a couple of quick Windows Registry hacks; we don't yet know whether the final Windows 11 ISOs will make the same system checks. We've asked Microsoft for more details and will follow up if we get a response."
I have read that they are letting people now but will not when it is finalized. They used to let you do a Check UP to see. They stopped that. It is less than a month away and still you can not check to see. So time will tell. Seems likely to me they will stick with TPM 2.0 required. Dell was clear they are not making windows 11 drivers for older Dells so seems unlikely to me that Windows 11 will run on them.
Remember when Windows 7 came out and many printers would not work on it.

Unless MS goes out of their way to make sure only Windows 11 drivers work, then I don't see why Windows 10 drivers won't work in Windows 11. It's not *that* different.
But, as you say, we will have to wait and see...
