HART 40V 12" String Trimmer Kit includes one 2.5 ah battery and charger. The 15" was also on clearance for $50 more. YMMV, B&M... $44.45

My local Walmart had several of these in the clearance isle. Seems like the battery and charger alone cost way more. My store had three available of the 12", three of the 15". Several other Hart attachments were on clearance as well.

I happened to hit the store the other night while a woman was in the aisles marking down the Hart stuff and a couple hyper tough and Blue Max (?) items. This was La Plata MD She said they needed space for the Christmas. AT THIS SPECIFIC STORE, she was pretty much pricing it this way: Any set with a battery went for $50 and attachments went for $20, with a few exceptions. I got the Hart 20 inch electric mower for $50 which came with the 5a battery, and a set with trimmer and edger for another $50 - I checked when I got home and it appeared to be store specific, there were no similar markdowns anywhere within 50 miles.. The mowers were all gone before I left the store. I should have bought two mowers just for the extra batteries.

Same company that owns Ryobi.
Custom line for Walmart.

Sold out due to Labor Holiday sales, but usually cheap Ryobis with battery+charger here. You'll need to wait for stock.

Advantage? Ryobi system lets you access far more tools than the Hart, if that's important. And always tons of cheap Ryobi tools and deals here:

https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...show=Page#

...

Keep in mind the size of the yard and what you'll be trimming. For typical 2500 sq ft homes with 1500-3000 sq ft lawns in a suburban neighborhood, 40v is heavy and an overkill. The typical 18/20v systems will work fine for most home owners on these lots.

40v is also limited - mostly garden tools, mowers.
18/20v is more flexible and can go into hand power tools all the way up to mowers.

And....battery replacement price.
18/20v far cheaper than 40v when they wear out.

I would qualify the "overkill" comment. I have a small front and back yard in North Texas and the 40V batteries I have (2 x 2AH and 1 x 4AH) can sometimes only last me 1500 sqft in the summer for trimming, mowing, and blow. We have St Augustine and occasional crab grass that just takes a lot of juice to cut down that's like cutting celery. I still love electric cordless yard tools don't get me wrong, but sometimes there can be more power desired even in 40V platforms.

Talked to Walmart staff and they said their garden section is going away.

Maybe for seasonal items? Or like permanently? I did notice the couple of Walmarts that I shop regularly have not really kept their Garden section kept very well. They have potting soil and other stuff just sitting outside ripe for the picking by some thief. Their plants and flowers look like they were never watered and half their tools look bent out of shape. So who knows, maybe it isn't worth their real estate or time Smilie

Makes sense Smilie This is in-line with what I saw in the Walmart app as well ... so fortunately I didn't have to go in-store Smilie Looks like they mainly shipped out of Indy for me ... so I'm thinking their warehouses are also overstocked with Hart tools. Looks like they are targeting the bigger box items like Lawn Mowers ... Weed Wackers and 40V items. I was hoping to pick up some 20V items as well but those take up less shelf / warehouse space I suppose.

Going for good. They said that the stuff just sits on the shelves for too long. I have 3 Walmart within 5 mile radius from my home. 2 out of those had the same feedback.

Thanks for the heads up on this! Picked up a bunch of Hart products on "clearance". I guess I'll start the 'blue and white' arsenal of tools.

Heads on bundle kits of string trimmer / blower + battery @ $25 shipped as well as the 20" push and assisted lawn mowers @ $50 shipped. Idk if it varies between Desktop and Mobile but I used the Walmart App ... was searching "Hart" and found a bunch of stuff for $25 or $50 ... $5 batteries too.
Can you send the links?

I picked up a 40V trimmer today for $61 plus tax. I just need a battery operated HART blower. Any SKU #s for the blowers?

Got the 40v brushless, so far so good. It's a little less powerful than the 10A corded. Edging a moderately large driveway (arc, not straight) and then blowing it clean took 2 bars so it lasts long enough. A second battery would be nice though. I'd feel stupid buying another one just for the battery, has anyone seen the 40v batteries go on clearance? The guys in the outdoor section said they weren't sure if they would or not. Even just a 2.5 so I have a 'backup' in case I run it out. I'm wondering how long it'll last with the hedge clippers.
