From the reviews I see that it's recommended that you get your own markers for it, I see a set of 20 on sale for $2 (from $4.97), and a set of 64 on sale for $19.97 (from $34.99) in case that helps anyone 🙃

Does anyone know if this could be used to push air, not necessarily ink for alcohol ink art?

Thanks OP! I buy a couple of these at-home arts and crafts kits for my nieces every time I see them come up. Since we only see each other once a year, I'm officially the Fun Aunt thanks to everybody else's help haha

If they're 20 Washable Crayolas for $2, that sounds like a great deal. We've done well with these CrazyArt 10-pack Washables for $.50 in-store at our local walmart.... Much cheaper than the$2.50 regular price for 10 washable Crayolas.

The reviews say broad line, and the images seem to show the same... However I haven't personally used it, so can't tell you if it's easy to tweak it to use with others.

I had a Colorblaster and loved it. It was messy but so much fun.

The sprayer can use Crayola Broad Line Markers and Crayola Window Markers (not the crystal effects ones). You can also use the Crayola Broadline fabric markers to airbrush onto t-shirts. We did this at a VBS program when this kit was regular price and the shirts came out awesome. Unfortunately I don't see those markers go on sale very often.

Other markers it's compatible with are the Silly Scents Stinky Broad Line Markers, Silly Scents Sweet and Stinky Broad Line Markers, Ultra Clean Washable Broad Line Markers, Broad Line Markers Classroom Packs, and the Multicultural Broad Line Markers.

The scented markers really let off a strong scent when you use them and it remains after you remove the marker from the sprayer so your future products will be scented also for awhile. It is easy to clean the sprayer with a mixture of 3 parts vinegar to 1 part water. The last color you used will partially stay in the sprayer if you don't clean it between colors.

You need to use new markers with it. Once the nibs start to flatten the ink just bubbles out of the end of the sprayer and makes a mess.

Markers on sale at Walmart right now and Amazon
10 count of Broadline Markers $0.97 - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Crayol...hbdg=L1300

20 count of Broadline Markers $2.00 - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Crayol...hbdg=L1400

64 count $19.97 - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Crayol...t/27583121

Windows Markers 8 Count $4.99 - https://www.amazon.com/Crayola-Wa...B001FQKPSU

I forgot to mention that I also successfully used a new one of these to decorate cakes and cookies with some markers that I found on Amazon. Only the thick ends of the markers work, not the fine tips.
