You presume too much. There's a distinct difference from warm white and YELLOW. That's why I mentioned it. These do not look like a classic warm white incandescent bulb. These are YELLOW. Big, big difference. I repeat...these led string lights are always too YELLOW. They do not look like warm white incandescent bulbs.

They are 2700k which is honestly quite yellow. Sometimes when we go camping, my buddies and I like to have a fire. We all have our own reasons though. Kyle enjoys the gathering of the tinder, while Ricky is more about building and maintaining it. Jeff just likes to keep warm. Those guys are all basically cavemen. Me personally, I do it to yellow up the campsite

Amazon has gotten so cocky they are pretty sure people don't do math.

They learned pricing from Target. Next time you are in Target, use your calculator. In many cases, the smaller products are cheaper per unit than the larger products. I love Target, but do not leave your math skills at the door.

I could be wrong, but don't LEDs all run on low voltage? I have the Costco version of these and the bulbs won't work in regular sockets, even though they fit. Which kind of indicates that the voltage is stepped down somewhere in the circuit. I also do some tinkering and the actual diodes run on 1-3v. Much cheaper to run the circuit at lower voltage with one resistor or whatever instead of putting it into every bulb

Lol. It doesn't matter what they print on the box. These are yellow lights. Yellow. These do not look like warm white incandescent lights. If you like the color of those straight up yellow painted "bug light" bulbs, you'll like these.

What people don't understand is that there's a big difference between the appearance of a yellow-ish incandescent bulb and a straight up yellow bulb, be it an led or one of those painted yellow "bug light" bulbs. Maybe it's the CRI. I'm no lighting expert. I just know these don't look "right". They look like yellow bulbs. What's worse is that they often have a greenish cast to the yellow. Yuck.

I have no experience with these stepped down 12v bulbs but most of my house is outfitted with LED 'edison' style bulbs around 3000k. They are absolutely not "yellow" bulbs and the technology doesn't somehow become different when you put them on a string. If you have experience with these specific 12v bulbs then say so, instead of saying all LED string lights are "yellow" because that simply isn't true

The reviews indicate that there is a transformer involved, some complain about it being bulky. LED bulbs by nature use much lower wattage, but not necessarily lower voltage. Many screw into a normal e26 base which is not stepped down in any way, in a normal lamp or lighting fixture

Since most people are using these in the dark, that may be a benefit. Warm lights attract less bugs. The cooler the light and closer to the blue spectrum the more insects you are going to attracts. There is a reason bug zappers have blue lights on them. That being said, I see you find the yellow tone to be very yellow and not so much a warm yellow. If that is the case, thanks for sharing that with everyone here and helping them become more informed.

Um...

Warm White is a red to yellow hue.

The temperature will you a more precise indication as to the hue of the white.

CRI will also measure color accuracy.

So a 2700K Warm White, is a yellow light.

There is zero mention of the CRI on the page so you can guess it's way below the standard 87% that most LEDs do now.

Which is why, as someone mentioned above they get a "green" cast on everything.
