I'm not sure but isn't VIPoutlet affiliated with Best Buy? like maybe these are returns from there? I think I did buy from VIPoutlet in the past with no issues

I offered to my son (5). He somehow knows all and said dad but oled version comes out for holidays... lol

Might be better off waiting for the OLED version to come out.
I know I order from Walmart and they gave me 50$ off the new one and came out to 300$

Agreed. Be aware of it, but the Nintendo store adds $7 shipping, so this is still cheaper by about $8.

But then again, if you pick up one of those 10% off coupons from Paypal or wherever (most recently for Target) then the $299 becomes $269 for a brand new one.

At $229, this is a good deal, but adding that warranty does indeed muddy the waters a bit.

Walmart, actually. These have been offered around this price before from same seller, and by all accounts it seems like a crap shoot whether you get one with visible wear. Extra $36 for the official Nintendo refurb, might be worth it for peace of mind
