I'm not sure but isn't VIPoutlet affiliated with Best Buy? like maybe these are returns from there? I think I did buy from VIPoutlet in the past with no issues

FYI If you are considering the SquareTrade warranty, you might as well just buy Nintendo's officially refurbished product which comes with 1-year manufacturer warranty:

Agreed. Be aware of it, but the Nintendo store adds $7 shipping, so this is still cheaper by about $8.
But then again, if you pick up one of those 10% off coupons from Paypal or wherever (most recently for Target) then the $299 becomes $269 for a brand new one.
At $229, this is a good deal, but adding that warranty does indeed muddy the waters a bit.

I offered to my son (5). He somehow knows all and said dad but oled version comes out for holidays... lol
I know I order from Walmart and they gave me 50$ off the new one and came out to 300$
