Not the lowest price as the limited availability FP deal, but a decent price for those who prefer a wired connection. Seems to have most of the features of the top of the line Roku Ultra. Also has a microSD slot for extra channel storage.

If you're talking about slowing down over time, there's a trick to Roku devices for deleting the cache -- I've found this helps get rid of sluggishness. I'm running a Roku 4 (5+ years old now) and it still works great if I wipe the cache a few times a year.

1. Press the Home button five times.
2. Press the Up button once.
3. Press the Rewind button twice.
4. Press the Fast Forward button twice.
5. The device will restart in a few seconds.

I also add felt and rubber bumper pads to the bottom to give it more airflow/prevent overheating.
I added microSD cards to mine, just some really cheap 32 GB guys, because it lets apps cache data. Forget where I read it, but Netflix is a good test. When you launch Netflix with no microSD, it has to pull all of that initial screen from the internet. After inserting a microSD, that page loads instantly. Yes adding the card also allows more channel storage if you need it, but I think Roku did itself a disservice by not advertising it for the performance improvements -- because there is a noticeable speed improvement by added the microSD cards.

The "updated" Ultra removed the microSD card because they supposedly beefed up internal storage but it's nowhere near as large as you can find with microSD cards so I guess time will tell if app bloat becomes an issue.
Who cares? Wired is always better...

does yours ever get sluggish on menus? sometimes mine does do that and I have to restart it and then it's fast again.
Sometimes, I do have a sd card in which helps . I have found that if I re-set it it runs like brand now for a few months.

Oh I just r membered the most annoying issue I do have... When streaming in ANY channel if I press the replay button or w/e it's called where it goes back a few seconds, many times the audio goes totally out and I have to press it more times until it comes in again. It may be related to my soundbar or oppo player, though, but it only happens with the roku so it's related to both, if so.

If you clear cache do you have to log in again to each app (Netflix, Prime, etc.)? Want to be sure I don't lose the login userid and passwords. they are a pain to enter in again.

I bought one earlier this week and tried it out with HBO Max, which has been running very poorly on my 3yr old Sony Android TV (skipping/stuttering constantly). Fired it up, smooth video for two hours! I have it wired on a Fios gigabit connection (actual about 800-900 download due to attenuation), and the diagnostic said it'll do 4K60 just fine. Very pleased!

I just bought the 2020 Ultra from Target. It's on sale for $69.99 plus 10% electronics Circle coupon plus 5% off for RedCard. That might be more appealing for just a few more $$ compared to this LT.

I was thinking about upgrading my Roku's but I forgot the YTTV channel can't be downloaded anymore. That would be super incovenient. I still have it loaded on my old Rokus. Hopefully, they strike a deal sooner than later.

Anyone else experiencing more and more issues with the roku brand? I have multiple rokus, 1 about 2 years old, and the rest less than that. All of them have issues. I've had to switch to another device on one of them, trying the Onn stick from Walmart and it hasn't had any issues like the rokus yet.
I have had problems with the stick versions overheating, but have never had problems with the boxes.

Do NOT get a current Google TV dongle. Huge issue everyone is now discovering….no storage. I only have 11 apps installed and can't install any others or update current ones. Have to clear cache daily. I have 4 CCwGTV devices and they are all like this. Google went cheap on the storage.
What does that even mean? Google TV doesn't exist. Google's only dongle is a Chromecast. It has no storage at all because it is not even Android TV. Companies that make Android TV products include Sony, Philips, Nvidia, and Xiaomi. Nvidia is the best one and that can run Android TV, play console quality games, and if you set it up right, act as a DVR and plex server. The pro model is 16GB and expandable by flash drive or hard drive. So like 14TB max or whatever it is these days. The regular Shield TV is 8GB and accepts microSD.

What product from what company were you actually using and does it even have storage and is it even Android TV?

Ok, great. Google TV is an app. Much like Youtube or Netflix. That link is a Chromecast. If you want to say a Chromecast doesn't have enough storage say "my Chromecast did not have enough storage". There are many Android TV products (not Chromecasts) and none of them are made by Google.
