I have 3 LG tvs.. purchased at different times starting in 2014. All have been moved at least 1 time.. 2 were moved twice and I installed them in 3 locations. 0 issues. Well. 1 issue.. Wife washed the guest room sheets and the remote for the guest room TV was in the sheets.. so that killed 1 remote.
All work streaming my content from my server or with ROKU or their native Netfix or Amazon.. No issues with picture or sound. I pretty much only consider LG TVs now. I am not a huge fan of the WEB OS but I really hated my sisters Samsung interface.
Guess I am lucky i have not had to deal with their warranty.
I got a display model just now even though the online links said it was OOS. The shop guy was very nice. He checked the system and said there was a display one still available. He brought it back from the warehouse with all the accessories minus the box. We powered it on, looked for any visible burn-ins. None we could find. Anyway, since it was a display, i got a deal. Got another 25% off plus I got the Sams 50$ gift card. I added the 99$ warranty mainly to protect against electronics failure for 4 yrs. I am not too worried about the burn-in based on past experience.

Hopefully it was last as long as my Panny Plasma G Series
edit Samsung
Basically that TV has been left on every single hour the store has been open for 1 year. I doubt you could have got a more used TV. That said, I imagine the average TV can survive 10 times that if you look after that.

"Also burn in typically happens between 1000 to 5000 hrs".
Where'd you get that data?
