I never trust bs. Far too many empty handed trips. Unless bs says they have 30.

Good deal if you can find it, but moving to battery powered lawn tools is so much better. I have 80v system that has as much power, half the noise, without the hassle of oil changes

I do have a battery powered DW and I bought this as a backup.

There are no oil changes with 2 cycle. It's added to the gas. Even on my honda mover that has a separate oil system i have used for 5 years with zero oil changes.. Obviously this user has zero knowledge of 2 cycle systems and should not be posting such garbage.

Also....what 80v system are you running expert landscaper?

Calm down snowflake -- I misspoke no mixing oil not oil changes. I'm using the Greenworks system but there are others.

My point is there are several benefits of moving to battery powered equipment vs. gas -- lower noise, easier refueling, fewer emissions.

I work in the mower parts and small engine parts business, and the only thing I want to say is that this Walmart brand has brought me plenty of headaches. Walmart doesn't sell parts for these engines nor the external hardware, and I sell parts for just about any major brand you can think of, but cannot seem to get anything from my vendors for these machines. I'm not saying it's a bad product, I'm not saying not to buy it if you can get it at this price, because at this price it's practically disposable. But if you're one of those people that likes to repair your equipment when it malfunctions, just know that getting parts for Hyper Tough products will likely be difficult.

Yeah there are benefits to buying a tesla too, but that doesn't make them a good deal. The downsides to battery powered tools include cost, runtime limitations, and batteries that go bad after a few years and are expensive or impossible to replace. And unless you go high end/expensive they probably have less power than the gas equivalent.

I got a lowes 80v blower last fall and haven't used it all that much and it already seems like the battery life is down to about 5 minutes using the "turbo" button which is necessary to get gas-like power. And I heard lowes is discontinuing their 80V line. I know I can DIY mod greenworks batteries to fit but then you lose your warranty and they aren't cheap either.

I wouldn't do this myself, but from a financial perspective you'd come out ahead buying gas trimmers ( as long as you can get them this cheap ) and giving them away at the first sign of trouble. I guarantee you'll come out way ahead vs. electric over the next 10 years, or until they come out with a better battery technology.

Really? The design of this one looks identical to a Homelite trimmer I have. I would have assumed that their parts were interchangeable.
