i'm personally hyped for the new ipad mini... that said.. i'm def waiting for them to go on sale($100-$150 off).. the ipad pro 12.9" went on sale like 1-2 months after release?

You need to wait . When Apple can sell for 450 on edu store, you can expect higher discounts from other retailers with holiday sales coming up . 64GB will seem lot better at 400.

Agreed they know had been 128gb most would have been fine with that now 75% plus will have to opt for 256gb

Android guy here with plenty of devices. I picked up the $299 mini 5 a few weeks ago for the nightstand since nothing compares over in Android land. Is it worth the extra $160 if I like everything about the current model I have? Use case is light browsing and social medial in the late evenings.

If you're happy with your mini 5, keep it.

If you feel like you're missing out on features such as USB-C, Apple Pencil 2, Center Stage, A15, 8.3" display, etc, then return and spend the extra money to be happy.

I tried price matching through Target, and they declined saying they don't price match pre-orders.
Apple.com also declined price matching because the product is "too new."

Which was the base entry price on the previous generation model - also with 64gb

They jacked the entry price by 25% and nobody seems to be commenting on it.
