If you are a new customer and want to get the GC instead of bill credits
1) Port in as a new customer with your existing phone (BYOD)
2) After line ported in, ask for upgrade; you pay the full price ($729 for the iPhone 13 mini and so on).
3) Anywhere between 4 - 12 weeks after, you'll get a $300 gift card.
4) After 60 days service and paying at least one billing cycle - you can request unlock of the iphone.
5) After unlocking + getting the GC : you can cancel service or continue as you wish.

So do you need to be an Xfinity Internet customer to get Xfinity Mobile service and/or the $300.00 promo?
If you are an Xfinity Internet customer (but not yet a XM customer) - you can port a number in and get the phone with $300 back over 24 months (device credits).
If you are an Xfinity Internet customer AND an existing XM customer - you may be able to "replace your device" and get $300 GC cashback when you pay in full. If you're already on a device payment plan for an existing line, you can't replace your device; but you can port in a number and get the device credits for the new number.
If you're not an Xfinity Internet customer, you may not be able to join XM directly; you'd need to sign up for Internet, then sign up for the mobile service..
So do you know if I would be forfeiting the byod gc for the 12 if I upgrade to the 13 before the minimum amount of time has gone by for the original byod deal? I wills till be a customer the number of days needed for the byod gc, but maybe it is forfeited when "replacing the device", ie the device is no longer with them so maybe that cancels it out?
I think for byod it said I had to stay 90 days. If so I am about 36 days away from that 90 day point right now. About tempted to do this deal and forget the gc since it was already
XM typically doesn't stack offers; since the BYOD GC was the first one in, you MAY lose out on the 2nd GC (for iPhone 13) if they don't consider it.
Since you are already a XM customer - get on the web chat with their CS, ask for clarification; if you do get a commitment that you can qualify for both, take a screen capture or print to file, and then go ahead. OTOH - you may get a response from CS that they don't know, or that you can't do it; at least then, you'll know what's possible.
When you log in to your account - since it was BYOD, chances are it'll show that you are eligible to replace your device; use that in the chat with CS to ask whether you are eligible for the new promo.
Another option for you to consider - XM typically keeps changing promotions around, but the iPhones usually have promos multiple times through the year. No guarantee that it'll be the same; sometimes there are upgrade offers, other times not; but I've participated multiple times in XM's offers over the last 3 years

If you can't believe anyone from XM, then you can't be sure.
If you can't wait, you can't get it later.
If you do take a chance and then find out you aren't getting the GC for $300, you'll have lost out.
Perhaps, as another post mentioned - if Visible comes with a good promo, that may be the way to go.
Thanks!
Edit: Found that, thanks!

Platinum level xfinity customer could get $100 Visa card after purchasing a new phone. The longer you stay with xfinity, the higher your level. Mine is silver level and $25 visa card if I purchase a new phone.
If anyone needs a referral, message me. I think right now it's only $25 each. Maybe more depending on your service.

I'm not a XM customer but have a friend who is and is willing to add an additional line if it helps me get this deal. Is there perhaps a sequence of steps that gets me this promotion?
I do have an unused iPhone that is compatible with XM in case one of the steps involves BYOD but I don't have a number that I'd be willing to port in.
Thanks.
