If you are a new customer and want to get the GC instead of bill credits
1) Port in as a new customer with your existing phone (BYOD)
2) After line ported in, ask for upgrade; you pay the full price ($729 for the iPhone 13 mini and so on).
3) Anywhere between 4 - 12 weeks after, you'll get a $300 gift card.
4) After 60 days service and paying at least one billing cycle - you can request unlock of the iphone.
5) After unlocking + getting the GC : you can cancel service or continue as you wish.

Why can't you all just call their CS and ask this question?
Also when do you get the phone from the store? Isn't it just preorder only right now?
Thanks,

I'm still angry that they didn't list that the preorder limit was two since I wanted to upgrade the entire family. I'll just have to suffer with a cracked screen for a few more months. Who knows when these things will actually be in regular stock with the pre order dates into Nov.

Late October: Placed order for BYOD.
1st Week of November: Received sim card and activated.
2nd Week of November: Placed an order for iPhone SE w/$250 GC.
3rd Week of November: Activated iPhone SE and used it as my primary device
Rebate status showed both $50 BYOD GC and $250 GC up until...
Mid-December: Both GC disappeared on rebate status website
Sometime in January: Rebate status showing the $50 BYOD GC was approved but the $250 GC still not showing up. This is when I had to file a dispute with the promotions department and for them to investigate since my 3 months were up.
In the end, they told me I can't stack 2 GC offers. After some back and forth they approved the $250 GC and voided the $50 BYOD GC.
Finally, received my $250 GC for purchasing the iPhone SE mid-March.
YMMV, so I decided to do the Tmobile promotions instead this year.
