Some of the reviewers point out that they did not receive black oxide coated bits. Looks like black oxide ones are $20 (shown on the same page).

I use them are consider them pretty good for most metals. Most any kind of new sharp bits will drill into wood and plastic.

I jabbed & handicapped my hand with a broken bit. I highly advise all to buy good quality, name brand M42 cobalt bits. They will last you forever, so they are worth it.
