For some, paying less now and in total, plus not worrying about the credits, is worth it.
Random T-Mobile numbers are getting this error message after entering phone number and SSN. "We're sorry, there was an issue processing your request. Please try again later." This is also happening on Apple's websites to those same numbers having the issues. T-Mobile is trying to fix the issue, but does not have an ETA.
So did some math and realized it's not really any great deal. (Good deal so far but you find better deals later if you are no in a hurry).

Im upgrading / trading my iphone 11 pro max .
Pre-ordered yesterday 09/23/2021 around 10 AM.
got a text an email this morning saying its ready to pick up.( was kinda surprised about this , but ig because this best buy has less people preordered , or got more stock , im in missouri)
I backed up my old phone to my computer . and reset the phone.
Got to best buy( I was one of the first 3 people there so i got help right away) , the guy asked me for my order number and name, then told me to get with a lady.
the entire pick up was about 15 mins, she asked for my id , then my old phone, she spent most of the time input stuff into the system. I confirmed on the machine my info is correct. she handed me the new iphone new in box with a sim card on top. I asked if she need to activate the phone or anything and she said no , when i put in the phone it should activate it self. got the phone and the receipt , now im heading home.
She didnt open the new phone box at all , she didnt ask if I need to transfer my old phone data to the new phone ( might be she noticed my old phone got reset)
Only do it if you have a iPhone 8 or below.
Not worth $700/800 after all the hassle that you have to go through.

I Tried to move my blue mini order with a pickup on the 30th to a Best Buy with a blue mini sitting right in front of me. Not only can they not change pickup locations in store or on the phone, but the cooldown would not let me cancel and rebuy the phone. Ridiculous.
I went back after grabbing dinner and the other rep just processed it no problem. Really depends on who you get at bestbuy but it's enough to make me avoid them again.
There was a big of a cluster tho on my end, well.. on my iPhone 12's end actually. I've been having trouble doing an iCloud backup for the past few weeks so figured I'd plug in and just do the backup to my PC. iTunes showed the progress and gave me NO error at all when it was done.
But when I got home to do the restore... no go. It said the backup failed. *SIGHS!* - So I get the joy of setting up an iPhone fresh from scratch.. it's not fun lemme tell ya!
ETA: Oh, and the case for my iPhone 12 just barely doesn't fit correctly. The power button doesn't line up with the case and from what I'm reading the screen protectors are different as well. So here goes an Amazon order..
