I am guessing you mean Dolby vision as Dolby digital is sound.
I hope you know 12" diagonal increase is like 750 sq inch more.
Lol. A store showroom is the worst place to judge a tv.
You can't get a better image than oled.
Oleds always win in head to head comparisons by "pros".
I have two oleds. Zero burn in. Look at Rtings burn in tests. You have to abuse these tv's to get burn in.

LG 77" C1 OLED or the 85" Samsung QN85A for $100 less?

There is no better TV on the market than an LG OLED. Even if I had to choose between a 55" LG OLED and an 85" QLED, I would take the hit on the size.

Well, it's still early in the day, but so far this is the funniest thing I've heard, today.

Will 77" be too big sitting about 7 feet from the TV? I can mount it on the wall behind the TV stand but I feel like why am I getting a larger TV (currently have 65" B7) just to put it back further. I feel like the 65" is max right now when it comes to fast paced games, any larger makes me too nauseous, but I would like a larger TV for movies. Saw Dune just a few days ago, and wished my 65" were larger because of the wider aspect ratio.

Some of these comments seem short sighted to me. Sony uses OLED panels produced by LG. Meaning the differences are minimal. However, Sony
historically does have better video processing than LG- which is what gives it a a slight edge. Motion handling, color quality, contrast and HDR performance are all a little better on Sony. Top end LG is close though. Close enough that fanboys of either don't have a lot to throw shade over.

If anyone is curious on this, here is how rtings rated them and overall which they felt was best for the money.

I bought the 77" C1 back in the summer as my first oled. Paid $3175 with free shipping and no tax. Should have waited a bit longer lol.

Absolutely blown away by the picture quality and snappy processing.

Rtings seems to think a 50" is the appropriate size for 7'.

FWIW, I sit at 11' with my 77" and think it's great. Not sure how it would feel at 7'. I would have to replace my broken 77" first and sit at 7' and report back. Hopefully picking up my replacement 77" today.

FYI, 55" C1 from Costco works out to be about $40 more ($140 gift card here vs $100 streaming credit at Costco), but Costco has Allstate 3-Year Protection Plan Bundle Included for 5 years of total coverage. Wonder if the $40 savings is worth it?

Anyone try a warranty exchange with BuyDig?
