$17.14/TB for anyone interested.
I believe these are historically shuckable.

https://shucks.top/ indicates this is the best price in a long time.
I paid $189.99 bestbuy last October.
I think I'll sit this one out and wait for closer to that again.. if it ever happens

Waiting for these to hit $180. I got 5 12tb for $180 over a year ago. Hoping these get there or even sub $200.

What were they at before all this madness? I'm just looking for one at least 10TB or bigger and am wondering if some better deals might come around in the next few months.
In the past you would see them around $15/TB or maybe slightly less around BF.

The best I've ever done is $9/TB but that was after a credit card promo combined with a crazy 20-25% Samsung pay promo combined with a BB early access for elite rewards members black friday promo.

Not sure about the WD drives, but the Seagate 14TB Expansion drives were $199.99 in February.

I might be wrong but I think they only track strict prices and not prices w/ promo codes.

Title says "WD Elements 14TB USB 3.0, Micro-B Desktop Hard Drive"

What is Mico-B? Is this your typical WD external hard drive?
Recently got one from BB and got same reports. Had to do the 3rd pin mod when installing it.

I am assuming the drives in this deal are White Label running at 5400rpm.
How would these compare against the Seagate Exos drives?

Is the extra cost worth the increased rpms? Do enterprise drives have better reliability?

March 2020 I bought these for $180/ea at best buy (and my first experience of any retail pickups after "lockdowns"). I purchased 5 of them back then; I'm waiting for reasonable prices again to get some more.

4 are in my Supermicro rackmount chassis for daily differential backups, 1 is kept as an external drive for monthly backups. All still work great, but my 6.4TB SSDs are full and I need more storage now!

Don't forget to request the removal. Otherwise they will be spamming you 2-3 times a day with junk mail plus sell your information to the other parties.
abine.com has a free email relay service I use for untrustworthy places. If I see spam I can shut off that email address and they will never get your real one.

Bought 2 of these last Nov/Dec time from BB for $190.
Ironically one of these just failed last night. Need to unshuck it and RMA to WD.

Same here. Not holding my breath though as they came back in stock but at inflated prices.

Ha yeah if I only wanted to keep one full backup around of everything I'd be ok with what I have now. But with incremental and overlapping full backups I need at least 10TB.
