You should get your price histories down if you're going to go to battle with people and try to downplay a current deal post. Best deals on both tools were last quarter. The blower + safety glasses was $100 on special buy of the day on 4/29. It was also $100 for bare tool at a number of stores as well, which also happened to be during OPE Buy More Save More so you could get it even cheaper than $100 ($66 was best possible). And it was $88 last year on the 4.0 starter kit hack.

The chainsaw was $249 base price at a number of CA stores, which was also during BMSM and could be had for $168 through the BMSM hack. This got posted widely, and Home Depot changed the $249 base price within a couple hours. The price came back later in the quarter again and the chainsaw could be had for $168 again for a few weeks.

Now for this deal...Let's say $100 is around the typical best for the blower, and $168 is best ever for the chainsaw. Current deal of $419 means you get the 12.0 and rapid charger for $151, which is a very good price for that pair. Seems like a good deal to me.
I'll just say this saw is a Beast and it had no trouble getting through a tree approx 14" trunk.
I only used 5AH batt but had a bigger one I'd recommend. This deal comes with the 12 which is a super-bonus. However the larger batts do add weight so depending on what you're doing, the smaller batts are OK. (but definitely not below 5AH that would just be silly).

Honestly this is my "big" saw and I have small ones I use to branches and shrubs because they are lighter and easier to work with for small work. DeWalt 20V and I just got the new M12 one but haven't tried it yet.

My old gas 2-stroke is waiting for some sort of toxic-waste disposal day don't want to ever see that thing (or smell or hear that 2-stroke thing) again.

Yes it's never been on this program. it was through Home Depot. I just started looking at this app a while ago. The chainsaw was down to 140 or 160 for one day only. Just the tool. The blower did get down to 120

Tempting, but I don't need the blower so I'm waiting on the deal with the two XC batteries to come back.

Sorry if out of topic, but I don't know where else to post:

Do gas chainsaws ever go on sale? Searching through the history for them, all the previous deals that I can see are battery powered

The blower may have been down to $120, but I don't think the bare chainsaw has dipped to $160 let alone $140, post a link to the deal or it didn't happen.

Thank you for taking the time to question my comment. If you don't believe it that's up to you but it did happen. For one day only the chainsaw tool only was $ 140 or $160 three or four months ago through Home Depot or Acme Tools. I'm not sure the exact number or location. But I was disappointed because I was not able to buy the chainsaw at that price. I found it the following day, the deal and the deal was no longer good and the price went back up to the original price.

Might have been a glitch that no one reported in time

While this is a good deal, I think opening a Lowe's credit card and getting 20% off on an Ego blower + chainsaw is best.

Of course, this assumes you don't already have the Lowe's CC and are willing to open one.

Otherwise, I'd go this route if you already own Milwaukee.

The chain saw has never been that low, ever. You might have this confused with the pruning saw, pole saw, or maybe the Sawzall. Ir it was a glitch. These sell used for that or more.
I have seen the blower for $99 once at Home Depot.

You are either misremembering, or someone made a very big price mistake at your store and you did miss out, friend.

It is disingenuous to say someone's deal isn't that good because you found the one price mistake that sold this item for 50% discount when it has never legitimately gone on sale for more than 30% off.
