I'd recommend buying one T20, T25, and T30 for each driver/drill you own. You'll want extras for bigger projects to share the load. Plus, they can get lost easily if you're not careful.

I bought a set of Bosch bits a few months ago. The masonry bit broke on the first use. It was a smaller size so I don't totally write them off but still a little underwhelming quality wise.

Also I'm not sure of why a drill bit would need to be 'impact tough'. I cannot think of any scenario where you'd use an impact driver with a drill bit on purpose... Seems like marketing only to me.

I guess my point is for the price buy one but consider it disposable.

Yea. I thought about that but I think they are saying impact rated as in the connection point.

These bits are impact rated but not masonary bits so I don't think it's applicable here.

I did research it afterwards and apparently people do drill with impact drivers though I never found any reason why...

Why buy a T25 bit when every box of screws comes with a bit.

The bit that is typically supplied is a 1" bit making it a pain to get out of the impact driver unless you use an extension with it. I prefer the 2" torq bits instead of using an extension. After several hundred screws are driven into the wood, the bit tends to have wear and the points get rounded allowing it to slip on the screw head. Impact rated bits are a softer metal to prevent stripping the screw.

As far as the wood drill bits being impact rate, it's a marketing tactic IMO. The bit itself might be impact rated, but the cast aluminium, speed change, that holds the bit will soon allow the bit to stop spinning after using it several times when drilling into hard surfaces.
