Yes.

A workaround is to use Google Voice (GV) as your principle number and forward GV to the number you get with this deal. In 6 months, rinse and repeat.

Also - refer yourself the 2nd, and subsequent, times to get Tello Dollars (usually 10 Tello dollars each to referrer and referee) to extend the service you get a bit beyond 6 months.

If you do google voice. You would get a referral from someone. $5 for you $5 for the referral person. Each month get a new referral or refer yourself and start referring yourself to numerous accounts that you own for the $100 bring your own number deal as well as referring yourself. You'll actually have 2 or 3 lines yet get it all back and then a little more in their promo Mastercard rebates. So in essence you would actually be making a profit while having 3 lines open.

This coupon code no longer works.

Try coupon code 'DN30' instead. It gave me a 30% discount which brings the price down by an additional 10% to $34.30.

Does anyone know If some one left Tello, how long you have to wait to be considered as a New Tello customer?

I got 1 year 1GB deal last time and I am shocked that it's rather working well. T-Mobile really sucked before but after 5G it's blazing fast with good coverage. I am going to test further and if they keep this up I might drop Total Wireless and go T-Mobile MVNO route.

Good question!
No, I have not done that. Interesting idea.

I personally have several emails (some gmail, some outlook) that I routinely use for various purposes (e.g. one used for family & friends, one for bank account correspondence, one for credit card correspondence, one for home utilities, one for volunteer and social work, one for vendors such as Amazon, etc.). About 8 in all.

I rotate through those for deals like these. I do understand that my scheme is not for everyone.
Just FYI - dot/period gmail trick seem to work well too - I actually prefer this one to +1, +2 trick

I.e. john.f.smith@gmail.com and joh.nfsmith@gmail.com point to the same gmail mailbox, yet treated as 2 different addresses by most websites.

It's not convenient when you call out using a new number every 6 months. Your contacts would be confused. At least some of them.

I like the visible daisy chain myself. $5 a month for unlimited Verizon I mean visible.
Nice. Quick questions :

1) In order to "rotate" phones - how long should a phone be "off" Visible before you can sign up again with the same IMEI?
2) If you stopped service today; can you re-use the same email sometime in the future? Or does it need to be a new email / credit card / IMEI each time you sign up with a "referral"?

TIA.

That's the whole point of using GV - all your calls (incoming and outgoing) go under the GV number, over the internet or through call forwarding. The "new number" is primarily for data / forwarding, it's not being shared with any of the contacts.

1) After you get the license code from Stacksocial, you create an account with Tello. You can order a Tello sim card there. A month ago a Tello sim card costs me $2.

2) When you create an account with Tello they will require a payment method, either a card payment information or Paypal. The payment method is for use after the 6 month Tello deal via Stacksocial has expired.
There was a past Tello deal through Stacksocial, as well, I think about 3-4 months ago.

The Tello SIM card didn't cost extra back then. There was an option to get a free SIM card mailed while creating the Tello order using Stacksocial's code.

Did something change during the last few months with Tello?

Is it easy to sign up with one phone (IMEI) and switch to another phone later (planning to buy a newer phone in a couple of weeks)?

Found the answer on their Web site. In case anyone cares:

How can I change the phone on my Tello line?

The Tello GSM SIM card you already have can be used with any other Tello GSM compatible and unlocked device.

To change the phone on your current Tello GSM line, the first thing to do is confirm that your new phone is Tello GSM compatible.
To do this, enter the IMEI of the new phone into our device checker.
Assuming your new phone receives the "Awesome" result on our device checker page and you have confirmed with your current provider that it is unlocked, simply take the Tello GSM SIM from your current phone and insert it into your new compatible phone.

Restart your new phone, follow any on-screen steps provided and your device should start to automatically activate the Tello GSM service.

If your phone does not activate automatically, please wait 30 minutes, then reboot your phone and try again.
You can also manually activate your phone by following the steps under the FAQ at the bottom of the "My Phone" page in your online account.
