A workaround is to use Google Voice (GV) as your principle number and forward GV to the number you get with this deal. In 6 months, rinse and repeat.
Also - refer yourself the 2nd, and subsequent, times to get Tello Dollars (usually 10 Tello dollars each to referrer and referee) to extend the service you get a bit beyond 6 months.
Try coupon code 'DN30' instead. It gave me a 30% discount which brings the price down by an additional 10% to $34.30.

No, I have not done that. Interesting idea.
I personally have several emails (some gmail, some outlook) that I routinely use for various purposes (e.g. one used for family & friends, one for bank account correspondence, one for credit card correspondence, one for home utilities, one for volunteer and social work, one for vendors such as Amazon, etc.). About 8 in all.
I rotate through those for deals like these. I do understand that my scheme is not for everyone.
I.e. john.f.smith@gmail.com and joh.nfsmith@gmail.com point to the same gmail mailbox, yet treated as 2 different addresses by most websites.

1) In order to "rotate" phones - how long should a phone be "off" Visible before you can sign up again with the same IMEI?
2) If you stopped service today; can you re-use the same email sometime in the future? Or does it need to be a new email / credit card / IMEI each time you sign up with a "referral"?

2) When you create an account with Tello they will require a payment method, either a card payment information or Paypal. The payment method is for use after the 6 month Tello deal via Stacksocial has expired.
The Tello SIM card didn't cost extra back then. There was an option to get a free SIM card mailed while creating the Tello order using Stacksocial's code.

How can I change the phone on my Tello line?
The Tello GSM SIM card you already have can be used with any other Tello GSM compatible and unlocked device.
To change the phone on your current Tello GSM line, the first thing to do is confirm that your new phone is Tello GSM compatible.
To do this, enter the IMEI of the new phone into our device checker.
Assuming your new phone receives the "Awesome" result on our device checker page and you have confirmed with your current provider that it is unlocked, simply take the Tello GSM SIM from your current phone and insert it into your new compatible phone.
Restart your new phone, follow any on-screen steps provided and your device should start to automatically activate the Tello GSM service.
If your phone does not activate automatically, please wait 30 minutes, then reboot your phone and try again.
You can also manually activate your phone by following the steps under the FAQ at the bottom of the "My Phone" page in your online account.
