Typically the way these promos work is you will not get a confirmation right after the $100 purchase, but will receive an email with the bonus card code in it at the beginning of the period it is valid, so in this case October 15. Kind of annoying not knowing for sure but it's just the way REI does it.

Edited to add: if you buy at a brick and mortar store you will get a physical card at time of purchase.

Bummer... although in the rule, it only mentioned that the bonus card will be "Void if you return item(s) that qualified you for card." It never said that the return amount will be deducted.

REI employees were given cards about a month ago they could hand out to whoever they wanted that are good Oct 1-4. The cards have a one time use code for 20% off the total order (online or in store).

I received my $20 GC overnight.

I had to get a membership in order to get about $60 back on the $600 Co-op Cycles CTY 1.1 Bike I bought in-store today. They signed me up for it for $20, and then gave me the $20 bonus card. I guess I need to look for something to use it on before 10/25.
