Rtings Review: 8.1/10
"The Hisense U6G is a great TV overall. Although it's the entry-level model in Hisense's ULED lineup, it delivers an impressive overall experience, with excellent contrast, outstanding black uniformity, and a decent local dimming feature. It has a great response time, with a nearly flicker-free backlight and an optional black frame insertion feature. It's not as feature-rich as the more expensive models in Hisense's lineup, as it lacks any advanced gaming features like HDMI 2.1 or variable refresh rate (VRR) support, and it doesn't support eARC. If you don't care about those features, though, it's a great TV overall that should please most users."

No, if you need hi-res gaming get the U7G instead. This is only 60hz and not VRR. Great for regular TV and streaming apps, just okay for gaming

This is a good TV; it's Rtings' "Best 65" Budget TV for 2021". It's also on on Rtings' list for "Best Budget Gaming TV for 2021". As mentioned above... there are much better choices for high res gaming, but this TV has a great response time and an outstanding low input lag, so it's pretty darn good for the light/casual gamer.

Depends how much you value 120hz. I'd argue it's of very little real value. The difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS is notable, 60 to 120 is MUCH more minor. Besides that VERY few games are likely to support 120hz (quite a lot if not the vast majority dont support 60hz, let alone 120) , and they will mostly be competitive FPS only. Are you in the top 5% of competitive FPS players that 120hz is going to help you beyond that? Is it worth 500 more? I doubt it.

VRR is also very minor in the scheme of things. I cant even remember the last time I noticed screen tearing in a game.

But that said I get it I want HDMI 2.1 too. But if I was on a tight budget I wouldn't worry about it.

The price of this tv has been at $699 for several months and now it has dropped by $35 and suddenly a Slickdeal?
This is a good entry level tv--good reviews etc, but most likely, if you can wait, a better price will come later this year--Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.

Recently bought the lg c1 for $1520. Now idk if I need a tv that is 2.5x this price. I don't play games, it's just for watching TV and movies. It will go in the living room which can be adjusted bright/dim.

I can't believe this tv has such high rting compared to Samsung of the same price. Samsung I had to pick their best to get a good rting, so that's why I bought an LG OLED

Awesome tv for the price if you dont care about 120.

For those that have 120 capable devices and wondering if 120 is worth it. Despite what the "you cant tell much different camp" tells you, there is certainly a noticeable difference from 60-120.

Im not a pro gamer, nor do i have the best eye sight in the world, but judder and stutter really bother me and its much more noticeable in a game. I know right away when my series x and tv dont handshake at 120 properly and its only running at 60.

Not too mention input lag is greatly reduced and makes racing, sports, fighting, and fps games far more enjoyable.
