Alot of people have a bad time with C by GE products, I personally haven't in the couple years I've been using them for dimmable desk lighting.
YMMV on user experience

The biggest issue is they keep dropping connection and you need to restart them again and again. I am talking at least once a day 🤦🏽

I agree the connection on mine drops frequently. However, its kind of a fun surprise when they actually work haha

I bought one last time they were on sale & just the set up is mind boggling (I have roughly 20 smart light bulbs from various brands) & it never connected. I threw it in the closet lmao didn't even bother returning it, it was that annoying.

You guys might get lucky tho? Buy with that personal experience in mind.

My biggest issue has been with their HomeKit hub that connects these to HomeKit called the C-Reach, they never update it and it loses the connection to wifi almost daily. The reviews are bad bad bad.

Are people with connectivity issues using these on a dual-band wifi network? I own several brands of smart bulbs and have never had issues as long as I isolate them on a separate 2.4ghz network, as with most smart devices.

For me, once I had it set up with Alexa. If I had any issues I had to log back into my C by GE account. Other than that, it's been good. I bought them at Best Buy, when they have the deals for the color and white bulbs during the holidays.

You might have to reset it, which is a bit of pain. Once you do, try to add it again. Hopefully it shows up then. I installed them in all my lamps. You can't beat the convenience once you have it set up.
