This model is not an equivalent of RX-A2090, correct? If it was it would have 9.2-channel at least.

Pretty good deal for a receiver with pre-outs for the fronts. I will be looking for something like this next year.

My DIY Amiga towers aren't very efficient and could use a dedicated amp to power them. Not a bad deal at all.

Do you have a source on this? Not doubting you just interested in knowing more. 24Gbps is absurd for a supposed HDMI 2.1 device. That's barely faster than 2.0b.

The spec sheet on Newegg also says it supports 4k120 uncompressed, which is false if it is actually capped at 24Gbps

I have a RX-A870. Would this be an upgrade I need?

let us see how much difference between Yamaha TSR-700 costco $330 and Yamaha ADVANTAGE RX-A2A

https://www.zkelectronics.com/com...x-v6a/usa/

They will all be upgraded to 24gbps hdmi 2.1.

I have a 10 year old Yamaha RX-V867 that has dual HDMI outs. I didn't see a need for it then and I don't now. This seems like a very niche feature, especially because it would just be the same output signal repeated across both ports. It doesn't even work like the audio zones do in that respect.

Oof, what a ripoff. No 9.2, no real hdmi 2.1.

Review shows that the guts are identical of RX-V6A/TSR-700. You only have the longer warranty but it's not worth the price and HDMI 2.1 that won't be fixed.
It's not based on the new plateform of the aventage.
My advice for HDMI 2.1 Onkyo TX RZ50 or wait next year for new hardware with hdmi 2.1.
