Do you consider Voyager safer or better than BlockFi? I've been keeping a lot of savings with BlockFi for 7.6% because I consider them the safest of the bunch, but still learning.. so curious why you think Voyager is more secure? Or you chose them just because it's a bit higher?

They both require direct deposit and more ...

A couple hoops to jump through but nothing that isn't manageable. Etfcu technically you can do a bank to bank transfer, it counts as direct deposit. 15 transactions I usually do through Venmo or gift balance on Amazon. And 1 login a month, plus paperless statement.
HM Bradley is more set it and forget it. All you need is a direct deposit of any amount monthly. And save 20% of all money that goes in

Been intrigued by these high yield usdc based accounts, but they're Not FDIC insured if that matters to you. What's the guarantee they don't take your money and run?

Ok explain to me the difference lol .. I said Roth IRA is retirement money. Do you even know what the word "IRA" in "Roth IRA" stands for?

You're comparing a retirement account with a 1% FDIC account.

It costs money to take out from Roth IRA because of penalty- 10%. It May be tax free (after certain age) because it's after tax money and grows tax free for Roth.. Obviously special circumstances allows you to withdraw penalty free.

You're talking to a licensed investment rep here

https://www.investopedia.com/ask/...lty%2Dfree.

Not sure if you're just trolling or uneducated but be my guest and invest all your money into Roth IRA and expect to take it out next year . You sound too young to do that penalty free though Wink

I thought you can withdraw contributions tax free at any time? Any growth will be taxed/penalized if it's withdrawn early based on age.

Given the resounding success of the previous bank promotion with SoFi, I have full confidence that this process will go smoothly and that I will receive the $75 promptly and without hassle. Should unexpected complications arise, I'm certain the SD staff will be on hand to provide prompt customer support catered to my specific needs.

That's correct . Your contributions is ok to withdraw aka qualified distribution.. but the earnings you have to keep depending on your age.

But having to submit proof saying it's not earnings and etc is a pain. Anyhow the main point is I don't get why that guy above is comparing fdic account to investments.

Nobody uses a bank for high APY anymore. If you want high APY, crypto is your only answer. Gemini and Celsius both will give you at least a 8% APY if you deposit stablecoins with them (USDC, GUSD, USDT). Both are legit companies so you don't have to worry about losing your money.
I almost lost $ with Gemini when I got hacked. Wait till someone steals ur wallet or hack your account.

And I lost my 2fa and the hacker cut my phone number with sim so I couldn't change my password /or receive text message for 2fa.

Luckily I still had wifi to freeze account but they've used money in my bank acc linked to Gemini to purchase btc but didn't have time to wire it out.

Chase said I'm not liable for it but Gemini said I need to pay the USD..

Or just invest with a Roth IRA

True, but that is $6k max per person in 2021. The FDIC insured accounts would be to park your emergency funds.
