Never again you'll see the trade-in an S10 and get the Note20 Ultra for $286. Best deal I've ever gotten on a device with no plan/contract involved.

No, just service from AT&T or Verizon, $35 activation and monthly payments on the phone (subject to credit approval)

Why do we need to pay tax on a $0 purchase at Walmart? Then I will have to pay tax again on the $20 monthly payments? Double tax??

It's only an Ok deal if you compare to regular price in Amazon or other big store.
Recently I lost my N20 U and because I have a lot of accessories (case, temper glass) so I need to buy the same phone.
In August 21, I checked Amazon, Ebay, Swappa. $949 new, $849 renew in Amazon, $800 open box in Swappa and ebay. When I checked Samsung it has good trade in with S10 plus at $500, it also give $50 accessories credit.
With the unlock phone, Earbud+ and smart tag I paid: $508.74+$220 (S10+ bought on swappa) = $728.74 - $50.8 (R cashback) = $678.
How is this only an okay deal when you jumped through a bunch of hoops and still paid over $100 more out of pocket than what is currently being offered?

note 8 is painfully slow. I upgraded after almost 4 years.
It is a night and day difference.
Note 20 ultra is a worthy upgrade.

you are wasting your previous time waiting.

I am a heavy user. i have 10 gmail accounts+ and i like to use chrome browser instead of apps at times.

note20 ultra Web browsing is amazingly fast.

note 8 lags like hell with modern web pages.
it was the top dog 4 years ago. But it really sucks.
Glad the upgrade helped you. I have not experienced any slowness at all. Use the phone for work all day every day, gmail, outlook, onedrive, pdf scanning, much more. No slowness or lag at all. And play poker online every night through app and Chrome. Maybe I'm just lucky or the network is really good. I'm on VZ, so I do pay more that way.

Considering it's still the newest Note model, and a new one not coming until next year, I would think quite a while.
The S22 Ultra is likely replacing it. The N20U will likely be the last of its kind to bear the name NOTE

Unless Samsung tries to do a marketing gimmick in a few years , say in 2025 to bring back the beloved Note.

But honestly , I dont see a fundamental difference between an S22 Ultra with a pen slot and what an N22U would likely be other than the name

Note 20 ultra may also be the last Samsung flagship to have an SD card, which is likely to cause a run on it in the next few months. Makes no sense to me, but apparently that is the plan.

Can anyone recommend a good case for this phone? I'm guessing a case will eliminate the camera bump issue.

Placed my order Thursday. I received a Friday delivery date. Friday, I received a "shipping delay" notification. The new delivery date being Saturday (today). Today, no delivery and no change to "out for delivery" on the tracker. I am growing concerns the phone will never arrive and I will have a billing dispute nightmare on my hands with Verizon.

Rumor it will be released in February , with an S21 FE released in January, delayed due to chip shortage

Yeah, that will be a good phone likely , better processor, more ram, no sd card, the SD card is annoying anyway , because you have to remove the sim tray to insert/remove it, I like the design on other phones. with the rubbery latch

- wondering what trade in deal they will have for the Note Ultra $600-$700 id not unlikely , especially for preorder
Better processor and more ram? I'd take a SD card over that any day.

Thanks Op. Wife was way overdue for a new phone and I upgraded as well. Saved us a boatload. She is upgrading from a moto z2play, and I'm coming from the s20 5G uw. The de-tuned one for Verizon. Looking forward to the extra ram and better glass. And less complaining from my wife about her old phone.
