Is this fast/responsive? Kinda tired of my laggy Roku TV and want Kodi and YouTube Vanced (or equivalent).

I have the Dynalink version and this is a pass even at 20 bucks. Mine would inexplicably freeze and need to be hard reset at least twice a week. Went back to the trusty Fire Stick 4K and no more issues aside from the crappy Amazon UI.
Same here. And it would randomly turn the TV on at night by itself.

I have two of these devices and I absolutely love Android TV and this device is a great value but yes, it locks up on me all the time. I'm constantly having to unplug it and plug it back in order to get it working again.
They recently sent out a update that fixed the freezing issue. Haven't had it to happen to mine since.

Shows in stock for me. Just ordered 2 to try out. If not it's an easy return with Walmart anyways.

Lol. Ok. People need to learn what "great value" means. It does not mean something cheap. It means something cheap, that works well. Having a device lock up on you all the time, and having to constantly unplug it to fix it is not a great value. It's a cheap price for a terrible product.

Ugh, this maybe not the average user experience, but I just bought this tonight in-store and if Walmart was still open I would have already returned it!

First issue; the remote was not synced upon first start up. The IR port is on the same side as the white led, but still nothing. There are no extra USB ports if you wanted to plug in a controller to get you off the ground. Luckily my tv has CEC so I was able to pair the included remote using my tv remote. After pairing I was greeted with a remote control update. The home button does not work. I mean a light comes on when I press the button, but the Android box does nothing. I wish I checked it's function before the update...

Second issue; The Android system update fails to install. I tried to update it before installing any apps or signing in, then tried signing in, then tried a factory reset, and I always get the same failure message. "Secure check failed (not match)" "E:Error in /cache/update.zip. (Status 7)"
Installation aborted

Pretty disenchanted, I may return it for a replacement or just get my money back.
Just returned the first unit, and brought home and setup the second unit. This one seems to work great. The second one powered on and directly wanted to pair the remote and update the unit. The first one did not have that setup, and it had a few weird apps like burn in, askey system trace, and an unnamed upgrade program. Kind of seemed like it had been powered on before. The first one appeared sealed before I opened it.

This second unit is snappy, it was easily programmed for my tv and soundbar, and updated without issue. The first one was a dud. I am happy

I've said it in other threads and I'll say it again and get more thumbs down 👎 and that is you're absolutely correct. I have the Onn box, TiVo, Firestick 4K and new Google Chromecast and the TiVo beats them all hands down. It's fast and has the best WiFi connection. Those that knock it gave up before the updates or more than likely never owned it and base their rants on old reviews. Even if you leave the TiVo stock it's the best bang for your buck by far with the new low price.
Which model of the TiVo? Does it work well with Plex?

I've had this device since it came out in June and been through 2 updates. It has worked flawlessly. This is a tremendous deal for an excellent product.
