Guys, don't bother with these. They freeze to the point where you have to physically unplug it and replug it just to get working again. I did it probably a dozen times in a couple weeks and it's been a paperweight ever since I got a Roku TV.

New update fixes that.

I've said it in other threads and I'll say it again and get more thumbs down 👎 and that is you're absolutely correct. I have the Onn box, TiVo, Firestick 4K and new Google Chromecast and the TiVo beats them all hands down. It's fast and has the best WiFi connection. Those that knock it gave up before the updates or more than likely never owned it and base their rants on old reviews. Even if you leave the TiVo stock it's the best bang for your buck by far with the new low price.
Agreed! My Walmart has a bunch for $20. I already have a TiVo steam and a Chromecast with GTV. Both are great. But I'm ok selling the Chromecast to buy two of these. It's just as good. But biggest reason is that i like the tivo remote better. The Chromecast remote is too small and slippery, and the volume buttons are in a stupid place.

Oh ya, and the Chromecast can't be powered with USB, it needs the brick, which is stupid asf. The TiVo is powered just using the USB on the TV.

Why wouldn't they just include a USB port to support external devices - like a webcam, or an external HDD or thumb drive. Makes it much more functional, being android tv.

Like Duo video calling, browse through your old photo backups or video collection. Why are companies pushing so hard for cloud that take away these basic capabilities. (Don't even get me started on dwindling support for memory card on phones)

As someone said just a few posts ago...the Roku is better..."if you don't want to load third party apps. If you want third party apps the Roku is a no go." If you're into IPTV, Roku has absolutely no apps approved for that function.

Look up projects like SmartTubeNext, you will wonder why you wanted Roku in the first place.

Can you remotely control the volume of bluetooth speakers? I'm tired of waiting for the Firestick 4K to add this like they did on some of their other devices.

I have 3 fire sticks with iptv on one. So far working great. This is tempting but can't spend money just because something is on sale.
