I have a Shield TV, Tivo 4K Stream and Firestick 4K. I need to get another device to replace the Firestick so I can watch HD Homerun protected content. Should I just get another Tivo 4K for $22.11 or this Onn for $19.88? I will be using this to stream only, not looking to add internal storage or that many apps. Also is it worth buying an extra Onn for the remote to use on my Shield TV?

This device has better hardware than the TiVo stick, and a better remote. If you get one and like the remote, you can buy the $15 stick version and get the same remote.

For any of you who have added the USB storage for this, and set it up as 'internal storage' - after doing so, can you then download episodes from Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, etc., and watch them offline?

I was hoping this would be a cheap way to do this, but so far no go......
You can set it up as Internal Storage for installing apps (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uNiRUa6iuo). If you are using a hub, then plug in an additional USB stick formatted as FAT32 and use as external storage.

Well, after the repeated insistence that the latest update made a huge difference, curiosity got the best of me and I picked one of these things up over the weekend. I've been putting it through its paces for the past few hours, including setting up an unused 32gb SD card as internal storage, and so far it's been as advertised. With the Dynalink version I didn't even get through the initial setup process without it locking up, the Onn has yet to do so. It's definitely lagged at times when installing and updating apps that I've moved to the SD card, but seeing as how it's a slower media than internal storage that's to be expected. Only other annoyance is that Prime Video is MIA as others have mentioned, and hidden in the Play Store, but easily worked around by side-loading from APKPure.

As far as I know, the Dynalink hasn't received an update since May and is still plagued by lock-ups and waking itself up. We'll see how things go with the fully-updated Onn, but early returns are encouraging. Guess the right software makes a world of difference even when the hardware is identical.
Well said. It is performing better than my Dynalink. I'm shocked and impressed. I will put the dynalink in a drawer and wait to see if they ever create another update for it.

I can't for the life of my get Prime Video to stick. I sideload it using Downloader, install it and sign in. but when I close out of it, I can't find the app again. It is gone from my apps list.
without Prime Video, nobody will use it in my house. I haven't tried all of our other streaming app

Are you sure you're looking at your apps list and not your shortcut list?

While I am pretty happy with this little thing, I am experiencing an issue with volume which fluctuates (decreases and increases) by itself and not app specific. It happens with youtube and other video apps. I have tried all the sound related settings with no success. Anyone has the same or suggestions?

I am using Xfinity Stream 6.9.2.001
Using Downloader go to troypoint.com/tpapp and install the Troypoint App (it is safe). Start Troypoint. Using the Rapid App Installer, scroll down to Xfinity Stream for Android TV, download & install. You will have to use Sideload Launcher to execute Stream.

I see that the Onn is active on Google Play for Prime Video.

You have to use Sideload Launcher to start Prime Video if you used Downloader to install. Uninstall Prime Video and install it from the Play Store. It is now available.
